Description

Managers at all levels are expected to know how information systems (IS) and information technologies (IT) can be used to create business value. This course introduces students to the broad range of IS and IT used by successful organizations to enhance their perational, financial and environmental performance and competitive edge. The course emphasizes the importance of aligning business and IT strategies, and presents the organizational and technical foundations of IS, the role of IS in enhancing business rocesses and decision-making, and the processes of designing, implementing and managing IS. The course provides essential tools and reference frameworks that can be used to assess and maximize the business value of IS.
